The Moral Maze

We face moral dilemmas, we only hope when you do you get better advice that from the fictional 'Tragedy FM'. We explored what influences our decisions and contrasted the advice we hear on late night phone ins with what Jesus might say.

Who are Alabaré ?

The aim of the evening was to look at why community is important and learn about the Alabaré Christian Community. Most of the evening was spent with the residents of Damascus House (a homeless hostel established by Alabaré). Talking with some of the residents we learnt what community is. Damascus House is just one of 34 projects working with vulnerable people. The Alabaré Christian Care Centres will spend over £3.5 million next year, and it began with 5 Christians forming a community over 20 years ago.

Movie Night

We meet at the later time of

8:15pm and had a really fun night. It was great to see so many new faces from around Salisbury. If you came along please keep in touch with us at youth@alabare.org and if you couldn't make it you will be very welcome any time.

Youth Mass

Thanks to the young people who made the mass a real celebration. The parishioners have been asking when is the next one. It was a celebration with a SPLASH (dropping stones into water as we left behind our sin) & a CLASH (when we welcomed the gospel with the cymbals). Click to have another look at the power point presentation. Please get in touch to find out how you can get involved in the future or if you want to start a youth mass in your parish. Chilling Out with God

An evening of sampling styles of prayer.

Check out the 'Labyrinth'

This is my Life

A huge thanks to Louise Detain for sharing her faith story with us. If your faith was represented by a big tree, where would you be? Would you be climbing up or just about hanging on? Most of us have climbed the tree, felt safe then something has happened and we've fallen out.

Big Brother Auditions

If we got to choose who goes into the big brother house we probably would choose different people. But just take a look at the strange bunch of people Jesus chose to be his disciples. Jesus chooses people knowing all their weaknesses. He invites each of you to follow him.

JUST AS YOU ARE

What am I Worth?

Would you like £5? What if I crumple it and stamp on it, still want it? how about if I rip it in two and spit on it?

Not nice stuff, but most of you would still want it no matter what I do, it still keeps its value. Our value doesn't come from what we do or who we know, but who we are.

Check out Psalm 139 & the song 'Your Beautiful'
