28th February 2009

Quiet Day led by Fr Denis McBride

St Elizabeth's Hall, Salisbury

'Where does the Jesus' story begin?'

Where do you think the Jesus story begins? Given who you are today, where do you think that story began? The four evangelists have four different beginnings to the story of Jesus, setting that story in a larger frame of understanding. To understand the different frames is a key to understanding the Gospels.

Quiet Day led by Margaret Silf

'The Growing Edge'

Many people today feel that they are 'on the edge' or even 'over the edge' of institutional religion. This can be a lonely and a risky place to be. But it can also be a 'growing edge' of God's Dream. The day will be an opportunity to explore how we can live creatively on this growing edge, in the tensions of our many questions, but in fidelity to the core of our being in God.  Suitable for anyone who feels ‘on the edge’ or who ministers to people in this situation.
